Words and Wishes from Dr. Wei He

2011 is an important year for Eye Industry of He Eye Care System and also the fifteenth year with trials and hardships. He Eye Care System has been still devoting to the development of international and domestic PoB assistance action. "First Sight, Africa Action" in Uganda and “Health and Bright-Combined Action” successfully carried out free cataract surgeries for many patients in Uganda, Africa and Jinzhou of Hubei Province. The model of integration of industry, education and research is further improved and supported by government. Mr. Wang Min, the Party Secretary of Liaoning Province, visited eye industry base-He’s University. In 2011, He’s University was officially renamed and became a secondary university in China, which meant we have made a great progress in creating Chinese eye care system. Liaoning VISION 2020 Workshop held in Shenyang is consistent with the goal of “Right to Sight” that He Eye Care System has been insisting on. International and domestic communication, propaganda and training gained a good result.Looking back the past, the glory and achievements have become today’s footstone. Eye Care Day Propaganda

Members of Liaoning Provincial Volunteer Club of Body Donation are in the front of Dalian He Eye Hospital

The Eye Care Day of 2011 is significant to He Eye Hospital. He Eye Hospital and Liaoning Provincial Volunteer Club of Body Donation went to Street Garden of Lianshan District Government of Huludao and Dalian He Eye Hospital to carry out propaganda. The club members are made up of retired teachers and cadres from Shenyang. They distributed leaflets to the residents in Huludao and Dalian and publicize how to prevent and treat eye diseases. After their explanations, the residents had a deeper understanding of cornea donation and most people had the intention of donating corneas. This propaganda gained a good result. The club members expressed their willings to continue to take part in PoB activities in the future.
