  • HESH is the First to Apply Laser Vitreous Ablation on Vitreous Floaters

    On December 21, the opening ceremony of National Clinical Training Center of Ellex Laser Vitreous Ablation was launched. The ceremony marks that He Eye Specialist Hospital (HESH) is the first to apply the technology on clinical treatment of vitreous floaters. This safe and convenient treatment method will take a new hope for patients with painless and non-invasive.

  • HESH Cooperates with Police Association to Provide Eye Health Care

    On December 10, Police Association of Liaoning Province, China and He Eye Specialist Hospital (HESH) jointly launched public welfare project of eye health to care polices for more than 810,000 retired police, their families and auxiliary police. HESH will provide the experienced team of experts, the most advanced ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment equipment, and medical technology for them.In the future,HESH will conduct more welfare public project let more people benefit at free charge.

  • International Cooperation Projects of He University Wins Demonstration Award

    To encourage international cooperation and participate in the construction of "Belt And Road" , Shenyang Municipal Committee of Education and Science has carried out the selection of excellent projects in colleges of Shenyang City of China in 2019. The project of Eye Health Platform on China-Africa Cooperation and Erasmus+ Cooperation with Eötvös Loránd University, applied by Public Health College of He University, were selected successfully. The projects have won the award of “Demonstration Project” and “Excellent Project”, and obtained financial support.Eye Health Platform on China-Africa CooperationIn 2018-2019, He University, as one of organizers, held the “2018 Eye Health Forum on China-Africa Cooperation I” in Beijing, China and “2019 Eye Health Forum on China-Africa Cooperation II” in Kigali, Rwanda. Hundreds of experts in the field of prevention and treatment of blindness attended the forum. After the forum, He University has begun to extend cooperate to Uganda, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Cameroon, etc. in the field of medical, training, industry, etc. to promote China’s prevention and treatment blindness mode to African countries.Erasmus+ Cooperation with Eötvös Loránd UniversityTo better cultivate the talents with innovative thinking and diversified perspectives, He University and Eötvös Loránd University have launched student exchange project. Eötvös Loránd University was founded in 1635 which is the largest comprehensive research university in Hungary. It cultivated five Nobel Prize winners and many world-renowned scientists. It is also certified as a public university that all the courses and qualifications can be recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education and the world. Through the cooperation project, students will obtain better education resources, more professional academic research, and the opportunity to meet other international students and gain a richer international background.In June 2018, He University joined the "Belt and Road" college alliance, organized by the Shenyang Municipal Committee of Education and Science, becoming one of the first universities to join the alliance.   • HESH Brings Light to a Patient Who Has Been “Blind” for Four Years

    A patient who has been “blind” for four years came to Shenyang He Eye Specialist Hospital (HESH) in International Day of Disabled Persons. His name is Zhao Jianjun. In 1998, Mr. Zhao’s right eye was blinded by a car accident. His left eye has a severe cataract after three surgeries. Finally, he lost all sight in his left eye until four years ago. In the past years, Mr. Zhao had seen many doctors. But all the doctors refused to operate on his left eye because of the difficulty and high risk of the operation.When Mr. Zhao learned that the numbers of cataract surgery of HESH has ranked for No.1 in Northeast China for many years, he came to the hospital with the last glimmer of hope.     Course OverviewThis course covers the broad topics of epidemiology, diseases control strategies, advocacy, human resource development, and program management for eye care in highly practical and interactive sub-modules over two weeks. All the modules are based on developing an eye care program for roughly a one million population (0.5 million – 2 million) “service unit” (district, region, province) specific to the participant’s own country. The participants will develop strategies for human resource development, infrastructure development, and disease control. These strategies will be integrated into an eye care program for the specified service unit. Who can participate?The course is intended for people planning to work in delivering eye care service all around the world. These may include future ophthalmologists, ophthalmic nurses, optometrists, ophthalmic medical assistants, national eye care coordinators, and district eye care program managers. This course is in English, and would therefore be most suitable for people who can speak in good English.What will you learn?Participants will learn how to plan and manage a district eye care program. The course does not aim to provide a clinical training in ophthalmology.What is the duration of the course?The course duration is 2 weeks (10 working days).
